PULSAR™ MASTER KIT PROVIDES 5 ADDITIONAL FUSE BOX ADAPTERS AND A VOLTAGE PROBE FOR FAST CIRCUIT & RELAY TESTING

The Pulsar™ with Electronic Fuse Saver® Master Kit is the most comprehensive tool for diagnosing automotive wiring problems. Versatile and easy to use, the Pulsar™ provides the fastest and safest diagnostic solution for today’s technician. It enables the user to bypass and test relays and fuses. It can also chase down short circuits, indicate parasitic draws, and bench-test equipment. The 9 adapters (provided in the Kit) allow the technician to connect to virtually any fuse box, light, fan, relay terminal, etc. The Pulsar™ features a digital read-out with current-limiter which can be set from 1 to 50 amps (12vDC). Once connected to the circuit, the technician can select the desired current limit and engage the Pulsar™ while the onboard computer safely monitors current draw 100mA-50A DC. The Pulsar™ can detect an excessive current draw, cut power automatically, and then enter the Pulse Mode; power is continually and safely reapplied every 3 seconds until the source of the excessive current draw is found and repaired. Manual Mode allows the technician to safely pulse the desired current level to any circuit simply with the push of a button.

TESTIMONIAL
"My 31 year-long career in auto repair has been centered around diagnostics. My business now provides diagnostic equipment and training to anyone who repairs cars. There are some tools I refuse to carry. There are some I promote because I determine in some cases, that the buyer would be overwhelmed by a better, more powerful tool. I refuse to purposely make a sale that is incompatible with the customer's needs or capabilities. The IPA 9000 Pulsar™ is incredibly powerful yet I have *NO* reservations about selling them to ANYONE, no matter what level of experience they have. Because of its versatility even a novice can diagnose electrical problems immediately.

There are so many uses for the IPA 9000 Pulsar™ with short circuits and other electrical issues and the first one to jump out at me was-- In Florida we seem to replace a lot of cooling fan motors. Maybe because folks here run their air conditioners most of the year, maybe because the environmental conditions here are so severe but for whatever the reason, there are many replaced!

The IPA 9000 Pulsar™ provides an easy, accurate method of testing the cooling fans on most vehicles. I pulse most fans from the relay socket and have a "State of Health" reading within moments. The IPA 9000 Pulsar helps me know BEFORE IT HAPPENS, when a cooling fan is failing! I'm now recommending my repair shop (customers) to check THEIR customers' cooling fan circuits - as a preventative measure - during each oil change.

It's in the vehicle owner's best interest to know if a fan is failing and in the shop's best interest to generate legitimate repair work. After all, the shop that keeps their customers' cars from unexpectedly breaking down is performing a much-needed professional service! The IPA 9000 Pulsar™ is a fabulous tool. Keep up the good work!"

SHORT CIRCUIT TESTING: Ever wasted thirty fuses trying to troubleshoot a circuit that was blowing fuses? Just install the PULSAR™ with the supplied fuse adapter into the fuse box in place of the blown fuse and dial in the fuse size (up to 50 amps) on the digital screen. If an overload or a short circuit is detected, the Pulsar™ acts as an automatic circuit breaker and attempt to energize the circuit every 3 seconds until the short is located. This function allows you to shake test wires and disconnect components while keeping the circuit powered up.

INLINE AMP AND VOLTAGE READER: The upper display reads up to 50 amps and built-in circuit protection allows you to never blow a fuse or damage your equipment while reading amperage.

PARASITIC DRAW TESTING: Parasitic draw occurs when a component within a vehicle continues to draw excessive power even after the car is shut off. By connecting the PULSAR™ between the positive battery post and the positive battery cable, you can monitor amperage draw for an unlimited time. If the amperage draw is excessive, remove one fuse at a time until the draw drops below 100 MA. The circuit causing the unwanted amperage draw is identified as the “problem circuit” by noting which fuse caused the amperage draw to drop below 100 MA. A common source for parasitic draw is “computer latching” that occurs when a computer, programmed to turn on periodically while the car is off, remains “latched” on for an extended period prematurely draining the vehicle’s battery. To test this, leave the PULSAR™ on “Peak Hold” for an unlimited amount of time to catch the latching effect during an extended power down of the car’s system.

BENCH TESTING: Attach the PULSAR™ to a battery or outside power source and connect directly to the accessory being tested (i.e., fan motors, lights and radio circuits). Dial in the current required and test away. The 10’ voltage probe can also be used to send up to 20 amps of current while reading amperage.

AMPERAGE DISPLAY: Measure and display “inrush current” up to 50 amps. Inrush current is the amount of amperage a device draws when it first powers up. Many devices such as DC motors may draw an excessive amount of inrush current causing a blown fuse. This can be easily tested without damaging the PULSAR™ or equipment, unlike a DVM.
